GOLFS
The Royal Golf Club of Marrakech, a favourite of the late King Hassan II, is the second oldest course in the Kingdom. Some of its holes are legendary and steeped in history. Its exceptionally lush vegetation makes for a thoroughly enjoyable game.
Designed by Gustave Golias and Arnaud Massy and opened to its first players in 1927, the Royal Golf Club of Marrakech consists of a historic 18-hole course called the ‘Old Course’.
The course winds through naturally rolling terrain, sheltered by the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. Fruit of the vision of architect Niall Cameron, this 6,440 m (7,042 yards), par 72 desert-style course blends harmoniously into the natural landscape while taking into account its environmental impact through minimal water consumption and the preservation of native plants and trees.
Nestled in the heart of a green oasis, this 75-hectare course opens onto spectacular landscapes, with the majestic Atlas Mountains as a backdrop. At dusk, the golden rays of the setting sun illuminate in the summer season, the snowy peaks, bringing a magical touch to this authentic Moroccan environment.
