THE PLACE
In the Jungfrau Region, at the foot of the Eiger, Grindelwald is lived on foot or by bike, on routes designed for sporting challenges, motivating challenges, contemplative walks, etc.
Relaxation for some, adrenaline for others, it is the paradise of lovers of nature, large spaces, high mountains.
Eiger and its famous north face, the Eiger Express to go ever higher faster, the Alpentower from where to admire the peaks to more than 4000m, the Schilton known for its appearance in James Bond, the formidable descent of the Lauberhorn to discover on foot, the Aletsch glacier, the pedestrian villages of Mürren and Wengen… it’s very simple, everything here is mythical!
ACTIVITIES
Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe
Perched at an altitude of 3454m, this space located on the territory of the UNESCO Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage Site is full of activities for all:
• the Sphinx with its incredible panoramic view,
• le Palais des glaces,
• the plateau is the starting point for many walks in the eternal snow, especially during a glacier hike…
It is also here that summer skiing can be practiced.
Grindelwald First
At 2168m altitude, this is a unique spot for memorable adventures: jump into the void with the giant zip line (4 people can ride together) First Flieger that takes you after 800m at 84km/h to the intermediate station Schreckfeld; Walk along the First Cliff Walk to a spectacular viewing platform. The views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are magnificent.
Männlichen
Easily accessible by cable car from Grindelwald (and Wengen), this summit is also a great starting point for many mountain hikes. Head to Alpiglen or the Kleine Scheidegg, the Liselotte theme trail or the Royal Walk.
Trail Running
Whether it’s trails in forests or meadows, but also more demanding routes in alpine landscapes, the Jungfrau Region is an excellent destination for trail-runners.
It is all the more pleasant in spring and summer, on tracks less frequented than in high season.
MTB
From Grindelwald to the Petite Scheidegg or Lake Bachalp, from Lauterbrunnen to Mürren, take a guided tour of the Hasliberg in the most impressive mountain scenery. happiness on two wheels!
